the noro "sumire" summer tube-type top
this is my own design. i just took my own measurements and used the knitting companion to figure out the decreases and increases. knitting in the round and using the pearl side of the fabric as my right side..
the yarn is a cotton/silk slub with a bunch of different, vibrant colors.

a detail of how the fabric is knitting up

the first skein got me to here. i'm trying to "blouse" the bottom a bit and then bring it in to be more fitted. it's hard to know if i'm knitting the right size when it's all bunched up on a circular. i'll just trust my measurements and the gauge swatch and the knitting companion.
so i learned the value of taking the garment off the needles and putting it on waste yarn to try the fit. unfortunately, i didn't do this until it was almost done and realized my gauge was completely off and the thing was huge!!!! so i've frogged it twice now, and i think i'm finally back on track. i wanna have this done in a few weeks to wear for my birthday. cross your fingers!!!!!!
back on track!!! i've taken this one off the needles several times to check the fitting and it's perfect now!!!! just can't figure out what i want to do for the top yet. a true tube top or split the stitches up and give it a slight armhole shaping??????
as you can see, i've decided on splitting the stitches. here's the front side with the beginning of the armhole shaping. i should be able to finish this up pretty quick now.
